Does Anyone Know How I Could Get Free Tires? Like A Donation Spot?

I am in college and struggling to get through pre-med and pay my bills. I have a job and all, but it’s just not cutting it. My car’s tires have ZERO tread on them. The mechanic said it was unsafe to be driving, but I have to get to and from work and school. It’s like driving on intertubes. I’m afraid the first time it rains, I’m gonna end up in a wreck. I can’t avoid it forever.
My parents can’t help right now, so I was just wondering if there’s a program or something that could offer some help.

I don’t know about free because you will still have to have them mounted. Try the local salvage (junk) yard. I paid $20 each for 2 decent ones. They came on rims that fit my vehicle so I only had to put them on.

Go to a tire store and ask them if they have old tires you can have. It cost them money to dispose of them, so they will be happy to help you. Most large places won’t do it, so go to a small place.
