I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have been a *credit*, just a *deduction*. Usually, you can deduct the actual cash value of the donated vehicle from your income (assuming you itemize deductions in the first place). That’s how it works on your federal tax forms.
These are the only actual tax *credits* available in California. Don’t see anything about donating vehicles:
