Alfe Aslin was a tall man with light, blonde hair. He was a very poor man and was married. Her was named Jasmine, she was short and warm hearted, and she had long dark hair, which she often pulled back into a loose bun. She was a tailor but earned no more than a sweeper did. They lived on Kolbie Street which was known as the less fortunate side, the people that lived here had no money and went to the donation house every week to get food, and new clothes.

It was a cold crisp night on a Saturday of November. Jasmine heard the door creak open as she was finished boiling the leftover cabbage soup. “Alfe, is that you?” she asked worried. There had been a lot of break-ins lately around the small neighbourhood they lived in. “Yes dear don’t worry its only me”, he told her reassuringly as he hung up his coat that was torn with holes.
“Sit down why don’t you, Suppers almost ready,” she shouted through the small crack between the door and the wall. Their house was very small and dark. It only had one window that was tall and narrow above their small crooked bed.

He sat down on one of the uneven chairs that sat at a small square table. The table had a small cup in the middle with a dead flower in it, beside the cup was a small radio. “Turn on the radio,” Jasmine asked as she opened the door dividing the living room from the kitchen with her foot, holding two small bowels and laid them on the table in front of him. “Remember folks today is the last day to enter the lottery, and win some money, a car, and a house, if you wish to enter come down to the Fresh Plaza and take your chances, the winner will be announced tomorrow morning,” the radio said to the couple as they sat there staring at the radio.
“Did you hear that? A lottery with the prize of everything we need,” Alfe said to his wife.
“Too late now, you heard him, the last day to enter was today, its already 7:00pm, I’m sure they’re closed by now,” she said doubtfully.
“Its still Saturday isn’t it?” he asked.
“Yes it is but don’t bother rushing out, it’s cold and windy and your jacket is much too worn out and thin, and besides what are the odds that we actually do win this lottery? Think about it, there are probably more than a thousand people who signed up for this and you think we are going to win it?” she asked.
“I think I’ll take the chance,” he muttered as he rose and reached for his jacket. “I’ll be back.”

The next day was just as cold as the former, with an icy layer of frost covering the ground. It was early when Jasmine and Alfe woke up. They did their everyday routines, Jasmine making breakfast for them both, Alfe leaving to work and she would just sit there knitting, and waiting for a customer, when suddenly a letter flew across the dusty floor towards her from under the door. She bent over to pick it up. She read it carefully, then once again, not believing what lay before her very own eyes. “I don’t believe it, we’ve won,” she mumbled under her breath. “WE’VE WON!” she then shouted.
“Yes we have! I told you it would be worth taking our chances!” Alfe shouted while rushing in through the door, “Hurry up there is nothing to pack, and our car is waiting outside,” he explained to her, grabbing a few things.

It had only been a few weeks since they had moved in to their beautiful three storied house and they had already bought everything you could imagine. “I’m just going to pick up some fabric, I’ve had so many customers lately that they’ve used all my best fabric”, Jasmine explained to Alfe.
“Ok, let me grab my coat I have a place in mind we can get some for cheap, very cheap”, he whispered.

They drove down to Kolbie Street.
“What are we doing here?” wondered Jasmine.
“I’ll be right back”, Alfe told her as he stepped out of the door and into a small house that was filled with fabric. In a few minutes he opened the door and hopped in.
“So how much was it all together?” she asked him.
“Free”, he exclaimed.
“What do you mean?”
“Jasmine, we are rich now, these people are poor, we can do what we want around here, we are better than them,” he said to her.
“I guess your right, lets go before we can get caught.”
“We have nothing to worry about.”

Over the next few months they took things from the poor and treated them like slaves. But then in the midst of their perfect days, a letter arrived. Jasmine was at the store; so Alfe bent down to pick it up.
It read, “Dear Mr. & Mrs. Biggles, I am sorry to inform you that the winner of the lottery was all a mix-up.” This cannot be happening, he thought, but he continued to read, “The real winner of this lottery is Ms. Steffiona Emme. Please return all the money within a month, for further information please call, 18503894545”
He paused, his jaw dropped, and he just stood there in shock. He knew what was going to happen to himself, because of all his cruelty to the poor people, stealing fabric, and treating them badly. He knew he was going to be thrown into ja
(it was too long to put the whole thing in so im hoping the rest will go on this)
jail, and he had no money to bail him out this time. He immediately called Jasmine and explained everything.

They had been in jail for almost 3 weeks now. They had been sentenced for 2 years. The police officer walked into their cell, with a tall lady with dark hair, with pale skin, and a deep French accent.
“Hello, I am Steffiona Emme, I am here to accept your apology for all those nasty things you did, so I am getting you out of here, of course that means you will have to go back living like you were before, but we have given you some money. Thank me later I have to go, Ciao.” She said to them. They stood frozen. Steffiona was gone before they could thank her,

They went back to their normal lives and regained their friendships they had lost while being away from this small town, and they lived a happy life together.
okay lots of people are saying it ended quickly, but just to clear that up, there was a word limit on it and i was already almost over the word limit so thats i had to end it suddenly. also i rushed this quite a bit because it was due the next day after i wrote it im not saying all this to like make you rate it higher or anything im just letting you know

and someone said they didnt know how old i was when i wrote this, i was i think 11 or 12 thnx

I recently relocated to Killeen Texas from Pennslvania in order to give my 3 children a better quality of life.i just recently became employed and am saving up money to find a decent place to live as i am a single mom.Unfortunately financing a car is never an option due to the fact that my credit is absolutely horrible and i cant afford it. In this town you need a car to go every and anywhere.I’d be willing to pay a couple of hundred dollars for a hooptie just to be able to get to work i currently walk 3 miles to and from work any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I have a 1999 Saturn SL1 with 160K miles.
Free to the right person.
It is a 5 speed standard in fairly good condition except the engine.
Once too often I let the oil change go a week too long, or so. Now there is a clacking noise coming from one of the internal bearings.
This car would make a great electric conversion and I will give it to anyone wishing to use it for this project. (technically I will sell it to you for $1.00, unless you are an established charity able to handle donations.)

The current registration is good until November. It is currently in the Sebago Lakes Region of Maine, and the engine is good for some unknown number of miles. Maybe 100, maybe 10k? I have removed the car from my insurance policy, and the state inspection is overdo.

I have a 1995 Olds 88 Royale that I was going to sell. The more I get quotes, the more I think about just donating it. On Kelly Blue Book it lists for $2300 and I owe $700 on a “family” loan for it. If I donate it, do I receive a tax break of any fashion and is it based on book pricing or do I name my price? Taxes that I paid this year state it is worth $1825. I’m not trying to be greedy, I am just broke and I at least want to be able to pay it off and not owe a monthly payment. I live in KY…. any suggestions or info on the process???

I can’t believe that I have finally found a way to help the world! Now, instead of volunteering my time or donating to charities or even just being more friendly to people, all I have to do is buy an overpriced death-trap and I can drive around with a clear conscience because the planet is not being destroyed by the harmful fumes from my “Environmentally Friendly” automobile! It doesn’t hurt, either, that I save a bundle on gas every month! That extra money will sure come in handy when my hybrid breaks down, because I’ll bet that the parts and labor for fixing the complex engine in this thing are super-affordable!
But, until something does go wrong, I can use the money to pay to run my air conditioner or to heat water for my extra-long showers! Oh, and I’ll also be able to afford all of the organic s**t in the supermarket! Nothing tastes better than a $7.00 loaf of bread! I’m so happy that I can spend money on superfluous s**t to make me feel better about myself while normal people are eating store-brand bread and driving Volkswagen Jetta’s.

Hillary proposes lots of government programs.

These programs will cost lots of money.

Not only will the government need more money for these programs, which ain’t gonna come from bake sales and car washes, but usually means more taxes, but…

Hillary has been very fiscally irresponsible with her campaign money – unpaid invoices, running out of money, millions of dollars paid to insiders and their consulting businesses, wrong assumptions when budgeting, no reserve back-up money, constantly begging for more donations.

Does it scare anyone to put Hillary in charge if she is promising these very expensive programs and doesn’t seem to be able to work within a budget? Are we looking at the possibility of runaway taxation when there are the cost overruns? Why should we put her in a position to actually start these programs, putting the taxpayers in a positions that our money will be Hoovered in taxes to pay for the inevitable runaway costs? Am I missing something???

Why do people say how much they hate america I mean really? Do you have to say Americans are pig headed dumb good for nothing slobs?

Why do people say how little they have when “all” they have is one car and a house? People in the world are dying and you are complaining of having to eat your mothers chili??? I never got why people cared so much about PETA and saving the whales but when a grocery store asks for a dollar donation to the PEOPLE in the world they say no.

Why do people think their country is the best? I mean its just like saying my grandma’s pancakes are the best. Its your opinion so you don’t have to rat the rest of the world.

Why do people cuss? what good does it do? People will stop respecting you. Some of the most beautiful people have the mose filthy mouths.

My employer has a section for contributing to the community (thru donations and volunteer work) as part of the annual review. I am very good at my job, and I am surprised this is part of the review when it is not really a part of my job. I was assured when I was hired that community stuff is TOTALLY voluntary. I do not do auto payroll deductions or volunteer work. I feel charity begins at home, and the main organization that they want us to donate to is not one of my favorites. I was thinking of saying something to my boss like, “I am surprised that community thing is part of my review. It is supposed to be voluntary and has nothing to do with how I perform my actual job that I was hired for.I cannot help my own family as much as I would like to and would be funny with helping strangers” I have also not been given the shift I was promised, but I have already mentioned that. Please dont tell me how satisfying you find volunteer work, I am sure it is but I have a lot on my plate right now with my family and do not have the time.
I have donated some money, but what they ae looking for is auto payroll deductions, and volunteer work

OH!! and they were keeping track on one charity drive, a list of everyones namesand whether or not they had “paid yet. I am not an office of the bank, I am just a customer service rep earning a customer service rep’s hourly rate.

I have an old car with a wholesale value of, I’m sure, no more than a few hundred dollars. The car was towed 13 days ago. I don’t exactly want to let it sit at the impound yard until it gets sent to a lien sale (this can hurt my credit, yes?), and I certainly don’t want to pay the impound fees to get it out. My question is this:

Can I go the the tow company and just sign over the title, completely releasing my interest in the vehicle? If I do this, will the impound fees to date still need to be paid by me at some later time? Would the tow company even accept this or are they completely happy waiting to sell the car at a lien sale?

Donation

They told me that he was a doctor.
He was the best savior of life,
I assume that he stared into the eyes of so many people
watching so many surgeries, gazing at so many white tiles.

I’ve always lived in the shadows.
I remember one time, when I was younger
putting my ear to the ground and listening,
feeling the vibration.

They tell me that he was in a car accident.
His eyes died open.

I notice the sun now.

I already put in to make the car donation to purple heart and they’re soonest available time to pick it up was on the 31st which either way I’m glad they’re getting the car I wasnt using but I was wondering if I can still file that on this yrs tax return, it is still this year but I’m not sure if there is a cut off on donations I know its 100$ tav deductable

Look at this from the self-interest prespective not from being charitable. I am in need of money right now for personal reasons, so I am not asking this based on moral guideline. I want to know what makes more financial sense to me. If I give the car to non-profit, how do they value the car? How much tax credit do I get? I want to make the most money with the car, and please tell me the best way to get the most money.
