Remember, they use dictionaries to clear words and to them it means:a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies. a group or sect bound together by veneration of theï»¿ same thing, person, ideal, etc.It is not effective telling them their religion is a cult, they already know this. In fact it is one of the first words you learn to “clear up”. It’s like saying a group of people, a band, etc. It has no negative connotation to them whatsoever.
