I volunteer for a non-profit boys basketball organization and our major problem is getting the youth to and from games. We usually carpool but sometimes we do not get enough drivers.

My mom’s old car is broken down and was broken into. the windshield and rear window are broken, car doesn’t start. she wants to sell it for junk, she’s not expecting more than $100 but she thinks that most places will null the cash for carging to tow the car. does anybody know a place local to us (cheshire wallingford northford etc) that would help?
how to sign a car’s bodywork and make it permanent?

I’m doing a charity event in a few months time for which we need to paint a car and then get people to sign it. What can we use to make the signatures permanent on the car’s body? Will a normal permanent marker do the trick, or will wear/rain/wind etc wear the sig off over time? Is there some form of varnish we could put on them to seal them on? Any suggestions welcome.

When millions of people on our planet are dying for lack of food and water, who can be impressed by some person dramatically overspending when they can buy comparable items for less. Why don’t you see this is a greedy, self-important, nobody who thinks a $500, tax-deductible, yearly donation to some local charity makes them a good person. Why can’t they see their car advertises the fact that they are doing less than what they can for the suffering. Why can’t they see how big a difference they could make by using their resources to make this world a better place, not to compete with the neighbors. There is no competition, the poor don’t care what you drive and they are the majority. Feed a million starving babies today, sell your Hummer for a Tahoe.

My Ford F-150 is hotter than ANY car and it cost a reasonable amount of money. Overspending means overcompensating……are you short somehow? Be confident in yourself, cool people don’t need to advertise.

Who knows what happens to any new car that is put on the market but is not sold? With all the millions of cars that are manufactured world wide, surely, not every single one of these is sold. Do they destroy them, try to sell them ‘real cheap’, donate them, give them to low socioeconomic countries, leave them to rot, the manufactures keep them and drive them? There must be one car in this world that will not get sold, so what happens to it?
Does anyone know of a man who hires wedding cars out and gives the profits to charity? He did this for me 1996

I got married in 1996 and my aunty managed to find a man who hired his cars and gave what ever you wanted to donate to him to a charity, I would very much like to find this man to help another friend of mine out and help another charity, if anyone has any ideas they would be warmly welcomed. Thanks
I am no longer in contact with my aunty so am unable to ask her for any help.

Think of the lives I could save. It’s not like cars aren’t an imporatant part of society.
Actually cadaveours, even children, are used if available. I don’t know if present technology has improved real crash test dummies to the point that it wouldn’t be carried out anymore.

im in a huge mess right now and needing some help. clunker of a car broke reparing it woudnt help, b/c it is soo soo old that the parts for it are more than the car is worth.. seriously.. trying to find another job, amongst trying to find a way to get my son to preschool, and rent past due, i need help ASAP.. does anyone know of a place that helps low income familys in getting a car..i live in ohio. alot of things are happening all at once, but i need reliable transportation. bus line isnt gonna help and of course spending money on a taxi everywere i have to go will be pricey.. in need now.. anyone out there know of a website or agency that can help me. pleae and thankyou

i LOVE running cars as hard as i can…i work at a thrift store, and someone donated a VW Jetta…for the tax write-off…i took that thing out on the road and floored it all the way down to this huge gravel lot, and raced around in circles in that lot doing ebrake slides around every curve, lol. Then i popped it in neutral and held it at the rev-limiter. I get so much pleasure out of that stuff (it was a crappy jetta) Anyone else into this?

I have for quite some time trying to reach out for help, and pleading that someone might have a kind heart and generosity in their soul. I am a 64 year old disabled woman, who happens to have Fibromyalsia. Because I have to rely on Social Security Disability, extra funds are out of the question.I am also the single mom of a wonderful son, who happens to have Cerebral Palsy, and is severely mentally retarded. We have been a team for many years now, and will continue to do so.We are in desperate need of a donated car, DEPENDABLE and RELIABLE is a must. I have to walk everywhere with a cane, and there are many times it is difficult. I am also a cancer survivor, 7 years now, ever so grateful to be here. I’ve tried all organizations that say they donate cars, including freecharitycars.org, but have had no success. I even tried writing a letter to Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, no success there either.They help others on a very large and grand scale, and quite generous. They are good people. Michael Dell is also the founder of Dell Computers,….a gifted and intelligent man.Since I am just one singular person, I have fallen through the cracks, so I have been very unsuccessful in getting help from their foundation. I have tried everything, and every charitable organization and just keep running into walls.
Here’s what I am trying to do,…I am a photographer, and quite good at it. I have a Nikon D5000, and a beauty it is. Of course there are accessories I could use, would improve my work tremendously, but they are not free. I make a couple of bucks here and there, for me and my son. Portrait and candid shots, videos for family celebrations, and the such. I could offer so much more, but I need help. I am desperate for a workhorse of a computer, big hard drive and tons of memory; for film and video editing, this is a must. I have access to fantastic software, but I need a computer that works well and steadily. I could go so much further with my work if I had reliable transportation. Can’t very well propose a job, and be able to deliver and get there.
Here in Austin, there is a wonderful organization called ClearChoice.com, it’s a dental care organization, the talented dentists who run this place is Dr.Roberto Velasco, DDS and Dr. Todd Eggleston, DMD. After my cancer, I had very few teeth left, my gums were inflamed, so I became toothless. At that time I did get dentures,pretty ones at that. In the time that has passed, the gums has shrunk severely and I cannot wear the dentures, no matter what I do.Clear choice offers services that could keep the dentures in place and position, and not move anywhere and everywhere they may very well please. Going for meetings or proposals is out of the question,….tough to come across as presentable when you are toothless,….also difficult to understand in a conversation. I want to do my work, and look after my wonderful son, but I need help.
Hasn’t anyone out there been in a similar position, and someone offered a helping hand?
