The dance group is made up of some GREAT kids that have been working hard to raise money to take a TEAM trip. They have been washing cars etc…whatever it takes. It would be great to find a company that would donate ANY amount of money to help these kids. None of them come from homes that have much money. The dance group is a non-profit organization. Thanks! I am a government employee. I had a car towed for violation of CVC 22669, abandoned vehicle. I saw a part of the car I wanted to buy. 30 days has passed, no one has claimed the car, and all the legal requirements have been met. The car is going to be junked by the towing company. Can I legally purchase the car part? And how about ethically? I didn’t tow it because I wanted the part, I towed it because it’s my job, I saw the part, and if no one claimed it, it would be sold or junked otherwise.
What company can I call that will give me money for my junk car?

I had my car towed to Quealy’s and have now decided to junk it. The junk tow company is willing to pay for the car. However, Quealy’s willnot release it to any other tow company that’s not registered with them. When i asked them for a list, they refused. So basically, i’d like to know if anyone knows of a tow / junk car company that’s registered with Quealy?….The ppl at Quealy’s are quite shady. They’d like me to junk the car with them but will offer no money or pay them $100 extra for them to Tow it to my house…..this is quite possibly the shadiest place i’ve ever dealt with!!!!!

I have an old car with a wholesale value of, I’m sure, no more than a few hundred dollars. The car was towed 13 days ago. I don’t exactly want to let it sit at the impound yard until it gets sent to a lien sale (this can hurt my credit, yes?), and I certainly don’t want to pay the impound fees to get it out. My question is this:
Can I go the the tow company and just sign over the title, completely releasing my interest in the vehicle? If I do this, will the impound fees to date still need to be paid by me at some later time? Would the tow company even accept this or are they completely happy waiting to sell the car at a lien sale?
