It’s like when she does generous donations and stuff, she yells it to the world and blah blah so that everyone else knows what she did. She gives cars and stuff to people who see HER as a role model… why doesn’t she give a car to someone who sees Mother Theresa as their role model?
In her magazine she is always in the cover… why?
Is she addicted to attention?
When doing charity and that kind of stuff, shouldn’t people keep it to themselves, and feel good themselves about the good things they’ve done and how they’ve served to God isntead of yelling it to the world just to get a nice reputation and other mortals’ “admiration”?

So I want to know if I can buy a used car then give/donate it to someone that doesn’t have one and get a credit back on my taxes for it as a charitable donation or something like that? If so will I get back the same amount it cost me or will it only be a portion? Thanks all!

I am really curious why more people don’t give to charities. I understand why not all people give to the homeless.. Many people feel like they are going to go and spend it all on booze or drugs. But what are your excuses for not giving to reputable charities online or in your community? I’m just curious.. Because even $1 can help someone in another country. Everyone has $1.. In other countries that is a weeks worth or even a months worth of food while to us it is just a pack of gum. In many countries they make less than $15 a year so if everyone just gave $1 in the right places they could change the world!

As some of you have been so blunt as to point out about yourselves – you are selfish. Do you really think you have more problems than someone else? A little child who is sick and his parents can’t care for him? Who is in the streets of filth and waste all day long and will die of AIDS?
At LEAST go here and sign up for the daily email. You just click in the email every day and food / money is donated by the advertisers and sponsers on the site. You don’t have to give ANYTHING just literraly 4 seconds of your time. Or is everyone that selfish too?

I send care packages to soldiers and have many friends in the military. I participate in the shoebox present drive at Christmas time (where you send toys, supplies, toilteries to kids in other countries). I have a sponser child in Mexico. I do that click thing every day. I donate clothes. Everytime I see a street vendor I buy from them even if I don’t need what they are selling, I know they need the money.
I will occasionally give money or food to a homeless man or woman. I live in Los Angeles its unavoidable.
I’m only 19. I work hard, go to college, pay my bills, and rent, like everyone else here does. I help my boyfriends parents pay bills when they need help.

Would you say you are the type that would want everyone to know you are the one giving to that charity or are you the type to do it anonymously? Which would you consider to be true selflessness?
I’m sorry, but in my opinion. giving while expecting to get something in return (including tax reductions) is not giving “selflessly” !

The 33 year old single mom living with her bankrupt parents and 6 kids that recently gave birth to 8 babies (All 14 were by IVF). Nobody is donating diapers, food, clothes, house, car. Would you donate to her? I’d like to hear from all types of people… especially moms. =] I mean would you get yourself preggers and do that to your kids? Anyway my opinion doesn’t matter and neither does yours but I’d still like to hear it!!!!!!
I believe she was offered book deals and tv appearances but her publicist had advised her to not accept them right now. I know Gerber and Pampers(?) have no intention of helping her. I read all this in news articles online so I’m not sure about the accuracy of it.

I guess I’m thinking well off is at least 5 million or more.
One time I figured winning 1 million and buying a 250 K house, nice car, paying off Mothers mortgage, etc. There wasn’t very much left.
