I am from Lake Elsinore California and as of two days ago my car went capoot. I have a 6 year old son that I am not able to get to school gracefully without walking 2.5 miles with him on dirt roads next to a busy street. I feel so bad for my little man… I go to school to get my GED and am not able to make it. I do not have the income for a bus pass or to pay bus fees everyday since all my income goes to rent, food, and bills. More recently, my car… Salvation Army isn’t of much help, and I know they’re the top answer to give out, but I am not able to get what I need from them… I am sort of new to the area. I just moved out here a year and a half ago from Orange County. I still have court in Orange County to attend regarding my sons father and every Mon. and Thu. need to get from Lake Elsinore to Corona to have my son go to his visits with his father that are court ordered. Going to the grocery store sucks because I walk 2.5 miles to get there but can’t get everything at once since I can’t carry it all… I know hard work is good for the soul, and if it was just me I would agree, but, I need this vehicle desperately to be able to transport my son to school, doctors appointments, visits, and to look for employment. Please, if anyone has anything that they give to help me out I would be forever grateful. So again, I need to know of charity (etc.) that donates cares to needy families. Thank you.

Not a lazy person. Not a terrible person. Definitely not a child, but almost 30. Life’s thrown a few curves and I find myself with child and living by myself. I’m due in February and my car completely died and we are having to scrap it. Do you know if there are any programs available where people have donated vehicles and you can pay less than $2000 for them. I’m just looking for something to get me to work and this child to daycare after birth. I’m just looking for facts and not really any advice. I’m doing the best that I can and I really don’t feel like going into why I’m stuck in this situation. All I can say is that it’s for the best and was a very hard decision to make.

I want to get it out of my driveway this month. Occasionally I see a request for auto donations from the Purple Heart, but I’d prefer to donate to a medical charity if possible.
