I’ve already had the leak fixed once, and a year later, it sprung a massive leak again. It won’t hold water. Other than that it runs fine. But it looks like hell. It’s beat up from head to toe because of numerous altercations with other vehicles over the years. The rear bumper is even bent to the point that there’s no access to the spare tire because of a rear end collision. I’m thinking of donating it to the organization that takes used cars, sells them and uses the funds to send kids to school. If it’s not worth much, I’d much rather do that.

I claim his as a dependent so he can’t write it off. If I pay $100 to tow it to my place he will transfer the title to me so I can donate it and write it off. But is it worth it?
    The $100 is the cost to tow it to my place until I can get the title in my name (6-8 wks) then I can donate it and claim it on my taxes. But will I make/save more than $100 in taxes doing this?
