What do you think of my work?

What do you think of my poem?

Donation

They told me that he was a doctor.
He was the best savior of life,
I assume that he stared into the eyes of so many people
watching so many surgeries, gazing at so many white tiles.

I’ve always lived in the shadows.
I remember one time, when I was younger
putting my ear to the ground and listening,
feeling the vibration.

They tell me that he was in a car accident.
His eyes died open.

I notice the sun now.
It stretches through windows.
I watch the orange span the kitchen floor.

My mother tells me that she wishes,
wishes that she could have met him.
I think of him, though, when I blink.

This is a very poignant story and a great poem, as well. I don’t know if it is from personal experience or not, but it seems very authentic. It is so relevant to the poem that the vivid imagery is very visual. Wonderful work. Thank you

good it’s ironic that a saviour of life can have his life taken away but i dont understand why u think of him when u blink? and maybe try taking out watching so many surgeries…
it ruins flow… but i enjoyed it very much.
